The closing ceremony of PAYSCO 2025 was marked by a special session dedicated to celebrating the outstanding contributions of youth workers who played a pivotal role in making the convention a success. These dedicated individuals were awarded for their unwavering commitment, leadership, and mentorship throughout the event, which brought together thousands of young people from across the region.
The awards acknowledged youth workers who went above and beyond in several key areas:
- Mentorship and Spiritual Guidance: Guiding delegates in worship, devotion, and personal growth, helping them connect their faith with daily life.
- Organizational Support: Coordinating activities, managing logistics, and ensuring that all sessions ran smoothly.
- Youth Engagement and Empowerment: Encouraging active participation, fostering teamwork, and inspiring young people to embrace leadership roles.
- Community Impact: Promoting values of service, integrity, and social responsibility among participants.
His Grace Dr. Samuel Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu, Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, personally commended the youth workers for their dedication, highlighting that “your tireless service not only supports our young people but strengthens the future of the Church and our communities.”
The awarded youth workers expressed gratitude for the recognition, noting that their work is fueled by the desire to see young people grow in faith, character, and leadership. Their contribution was described as critical to the success of PAYSCO 2025, ensuring that delegates experienced meaningful worship, impactful learning sessions, and lasting fellowship.
