A Word from the Archbishop

I give thanks to Almighty God for the continued growth and commitment of the youths and students of the Church of Uganda. You are a vital part of the Church today, not merely the leaders of tomorrow. Your energy, creativity, and faith are essential in advancing God’s mission in our communities and nation.

I commend the Youth and Students Department, diocesan leadership, youth workers, and all partners for their dedication in nurturing young people through discipleship, mentorship, and leadership development. Initiatives such as the Provincial Annual Youths and Students Convention (PAYSCO) play a significant role in shaping character, strengthening faith, and fostering unity among our youths and students.

This year’s theme, “Let Your Light Shine Before Others” (Matthew 5:16), calls upon every young person to live as a true witness of Christ. I encourage you to uphold integrity, discipline, and love in all that you do—whether in your schools, workplaces, or communities—so that others may see Christ through you.

As the Church of Uganda, we remain committed to walking with you, praying for you, and supporting you as you grow in faith and service. May God grant you wisdom, courage, and strength to stand firm in your Christian calling and to be agents of transformation in society.

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
